“ JULY RESCUE OF THE MONTH 

I know I recently asked for rescue nominations, and I promise I’ll be working through those.  However, because of the devastating building collapse that recently displaced their sanctuary, this month’s rescue felt like one that simply couldn’t wait.

This month, Whispering Willow is proud to support Safe Haven Pet Sanctuary in Green Bay.

Safe Haven Pet Sanctuary is a cage-free sanctuary dedicated to saving cats at risk of euthanasia and giving them a safe place to land. Recently, after catastrophic storm damage caused part of their building to collapse, they were forced to evacuate their cats and begin the overwhelming process of rebuilding.

 I already have just over $60 set aside from my last two events to donate, and for the rest of July, 30% of ALL proceeds will be donated directly to Safe Haven.

 I’ll also personally match donations up to $200 to help them rebuild and continue caring for the animals who depend on them.

This rescue isn’t new to me. They first caught my attention when they opened their doors during one of Wisconsin’s dangerously cold winters to help people experiencing homelessness. They chose compassion over convenience, and that’s the kind of organization I love supporting.
